The ThinkPad X Series Tablet has a dual-swivel hinge for smooth laptop-to-tablet conversion, an easy-to-use digitizer pen, touch screen, and optional Enhanced Multitouch panel making it a perfect tool for anything-but-traditional work environments.

Customers can use two-finger gestures to pan, zoom, rotate, right-click and more in addition to standard touch-screen features.

Powered by low voltage Intel® Centrino® Pro processors, the ThinkPad X Series Tablet raises the convertible notebook to new levels of mobile performance, without sacrificing portability or battery life. It gives you the flexibility to work however you need to in any environment. For one, the digitizer pen keeps you focused and reduces disruptive typing in meetings by letting you take notes and sketch diagrams on your screen. The comfortable rubberized pen has an easy-to-use true eraser function as well — simply flip the pen and erase like you would with a pencil. Palm-rejection technology prevents your hand from interfering with writing. Enhanced finger-touch sensitivity makes it a breeze to simply interact with on-screen applications and enter data on forms or sales sheets on the go. The touch screen has also been improved to enable pen detection at a farther distance from the screen and to require 28% less pen pressure on the screen for better accuracy and ease of use.

An optional SuperBright Outdoor panel even helps users who have trouble seeing their notebook screen while working outside in direct sunlight or in their car. Now the X Series Tablet means users don’t have to put off work until they get back to the office. Anti-reflective layers similar to optical lenses on cameras are incorporated as well.
